The Mammography Development & Registry Prep Course is a comprehensive 10-week program designed to prepare licensed radiologic technologists for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography registry examination. This course is specifically tailored to meet the needs of licensed professionals seeking career advancements in the field of Mammography. The program aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to excel in mammographic imaging, interpretation, and patient care. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, hands-on training, and exam-focused preparation, participants will develop a solid foundation in mammography principles, enhance their technical proficiency, and be well-prepared to pass the ARRT Mammography registry examination. This course meets the structured education requirement set by the ARRT and is approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for Continuing Education (CE) credits.This multi session course is designed to meet FDA regulatory requirements.

 

COURSE OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

 

Comprehensive Understanding of Mammography Principles and Technology:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of Mammography.
  • Comprehend the technology behind mammographic imaging, including X-ray generation and image acquisition.
  • Gain knowledge of image receptors, image quality factors, and digital mammography technology.

Mastery of Mammographic Image Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Enhance skills in analyzing and interpreting mammographic images for the detection of breast abnormalities.
  • Develop expertise in identifying normal breast anatomy and recognizing various breast pathologies.
  • Differentiate between benign and malignant findings on mammograms with accuracy and confidence.

Proficiency in Mammography Positioning Techniques:

  • Gain hands-on experience in positioning patients for mammographic examinations.
  • Learn to perform routine mammography projections and specialized imaging techniques.
  • Acquire skills in patient communication and positioning adjustments to optimize image quality.

Expertise in Mammography Quality Assurance and Quality Control:

  • Understand the principles and importance of quality assurance and quality control in mammography.
