MRI Development & Registry Prep

The MRI Development & Registry Prep Course is a comprehensive 7-week program designed to prepare licensed radiologic technologists for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MRI registry examination. This course meets the structured education requirement set by the ARRT and is approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for Continuing Education (CE) credits. Geared towards licensed professionals seeking career advancements in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), this course aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the field. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, hands-on training, and exam-focused preparation, participants will develop a solid foundation in MRI principles, enhance their technical proficiency, and be well-prepared to pass the ARRT MRI registry examination.

COURSE OVERVIEW & OBJECTIVES

Comprehensive Understanding of MRI Principles and Physics:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
  • Comprehend the physics behind MRI, including magnetic fields, radiofrequency pulses, and image formation.
  • Understand the concepts of T1 and T2 relaxation, spatial encoding, and the role of gradients in image creation.

Mastery of MRI Imaging Techniques and Pulse Sequences:

  • Familiarize with a wide range of imaging techniques and pulse sequences used in MRI.
  • Understand the clinical applications of different sequences and their strengths and limitations.
  • Develop the ability to select appropriate pulse sequences for various clinical scenarios.
