AS Radiologic Technology
The Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology at John Patrick University of Health and Applied Sciences is designed to prepare students to enter the profession of radiologic technology. The 16-month program is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) and follows the standards set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Tecnologists (ARRT). The hybrid program with online classes is structured to provide students with basic concepts and competencies to work as a radiologic technologist in the healthcare environment. This is accomplished through didactic education in patient care, radiographic procedures, medical ethics, and law, radiation biology, as well as radiation safety and protection. In addition, students learn mastery of the required skill sets during their structured clinical rotations in the clinical setting. Graduates of the Radiography program are qualified to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) National Certification Exam.
